Apna Roti Bank

“Apna Roti Bank Charitable Trust” is an initiative taken by Mr. Himanshu Pundir to fight against poverty and provide food to the poor people on a daily basis. Mr. Pundir started collecting leftover food from every household in the neighborhood by working with a few other volunteers in the year 2015. After the collection of the food, the team would pack the food in smaller packets to distribute amongst the poor and needy people in surrounding areas. Mr. Pundir made a significant impact on the people of Dehradun and Uttarakhand through his continuous efforts for years. This noble gesture of him is appreciated by a vast majority of the state and people recognized his work through various awards and recognitions. After getting appreciation and motivation from the people Mr. Himanshu Pundir went ahead and registered The Apna Roti Bank Charitable Trust in the year 2017 and has been continuously working towards fighting poverty. Mr. Pundir, over the years has expanded his vision by providing meals to poor everyday, generating employment opportunities and help the poor to create a better future for themselves. Apna Roti bank Charitable Trust along with collecting, preparing and distributing meals to the poor people is now also working towards introducing skill development programs for a long term impact for minimizing poverty.
